SAPIENS-Alcance

Importance

Every day there are more and more operations in which the use of a Drones is becoming habitual. 

At the moment there is no protocol so that in flights where the sight does not reach the Drones they can be warned of a nearby danger (power lines, flocks of birds, other drones) and thus modify their trajectory.

For all this we want to develop a integral platform for the detection and avoidance of flights in an area of rural drone environments.

Challenge

The challenge of this project is to ensure that they can carry out off-line flights at low altitude and that these flights are carried out without preventable mishaps.
To achieve this goal, it will be necessary to investigate and integrate solutions framed in two differentiated technological areas with great potential to be disruptive such as IoT and Artificial Intelligence.

Our Solution

Asistencia
Intelligent ground nodes
These nodes will be intelligent nodes with automatic detection capacity of low-flying aircraft and communications with the mobile telephony network.
Analítica
DAA Platform
This platform integrates the data from the ground nodes and will act as a gateway between the control station and the ground nodes.
Reconciliación
Artificial Intelligence
Our artificial intelligence will be able through the data obtained by the sensors of the ground nodes to detect objects that may interfere in the flight and may recommend a change of route to the pilot to avoid colliding with said danger.

Consortium of project

This project arises as a response to a clear need of the Drones aeronautical sector, through the incorporation of new technologies, to detect and avoid dangers in low-altitude drone flights in which line of sight is lost.
