The EduPills project, a mobile app developed by Emergya and owned by the Instituto Nacional de Tecnologías Educativas y de Formación del Profesorado (INTEF), which is part of the Ministry of Education, has had more than 7,000 downloads in only two weeks and continues gaining users. The mobile project has recently been nominated as the most innovative platform in Spain at the Open Awards 2017.

Open Awards recognises and rewards open source initiatives and projects which have stood out this year. The second edition of these awards includes important companies, public entities and personalities from the open source and free software world.

Public voting was open until Sunday 30th April. The five projects which obtained the majority number of votes went on to the following round, in which a jury will evaluate each of them this month. In this first phase, Edupills received the highest number of votes. On 1st June, the winners of these awards in each category will be known .

EduPills is a mobile app which offers mini training courses to teachers to be done in 5-10 minutes. Teachers are able to develop abilities, skills and digital competencies quickly and easily. This project belongs to EducaLAB platform.
