One of the most motivating things about working on digital products, sometimes used by thousands of people every day, is knowing that every decision you make is important and has an impact.

It's exciting to think that among that large number of people who use it can be your family, your friends... I reckon there are a few things more inspiring on a professional level.

We don't need to be physically in one place to work in a team. With enough connectivity and good headphones, you can solve anything. It doesn't matter if you are in Cadiz, Valencia, Switzerland or Cuba. What used to require approaching someone in the office to ask a question or having a coffee together to solve an issue, is now cleared up with a phone call...

And you can still share that coffee! But you can also take a walk on the beach. For me, it helps me to be more productive and to enjoy my work even more.

For me, emergya is an example os the pillars of Scrum: transparency, inspection and adaptation, both professionally and personally, because even for the processes, people are always taken into account and that is essential.

The beginnings are often tough, but I was lucky enough to have some colleagues with me from whom, just by being attentive, I found out a lot. And when I asked them questions, I couldn't tell you how much I learned!

Even if you're the best, there's always something you can discover. And when you don't have much experience, there are also things you can teach. The more you share, the more you learn, especially if the team is united and has an attitude. This is the key to building great teams.

What I like most about working at emergya is that the relationship with my colleagues goes beyond projects or meetings. We share knowledge, but also good times.

Now that we don't have a face-to-face meeting point, we keep the good vibes going with remote breakfasts or beers, where we keep in touch and help each other on other issues. And when new colleagues arrive, we welcome them warmly. It is this "emergya spirit" that makes us a great little family.
